this is so short notice, but i would really appreciate tips from anyone who has been to palawan.. where's the best beach? accomodations? paradise spots? anything of that sort. Basically we will be staying at puerto princessa, our package tour with legend hotel has not been confirmed, so if it doesnt push through i need a contingency plan...
help :P

hope these help.
When in Palawan, i really recommend you try to make it to El Nido. The beaches in Puerto Princesa are nothing great at all. Stay one day in Puerto Princesa if only for the Underground River Tour with a pitstop at the Vietnamese village for dinner.
I think now there's a Cebu Pacific - Puerto Princesa flight then from there, either you tke the Sea Air flight to El Nido which leaver (during the time we went 2 years ago) every Tuesday and Saturday only OR for a least costly alternative, take the 8 hour bus ride from Puerto Princesa to El Nido.
The best resorts in El Nido are of course the luxury resorts, Lagen and Miniloc if you have the budget. this will prob set you back around 16-20k/ pax for a 3 night stay but its all inclusive---meals, activities etc.
Other alternatives would be the resorts that are listed in the sites above.
Enjoy planning. el Nido is my absolute favorite place in the Philippines -- thus far.....truly a piece of heaven on Earth!
i wanted to go there with a special friend. i wanted something cheap. im planning to stay for a week. does anyone know how? please enlighten me on this.

ngek.. dili diay to nimo special friend... kay nangita man ka ug cheap! :P (jok jok lang)
hahaha..... palawans a very nice place....
i've been to Luzon Visayas and Mindanao...
but palawan?.. shakkks..... if you have anything good at palawan, pls post it up.. thanks
palawan is huge. for a first taste of palawan, try puerto princessa. it has a bit of everything and is central to a lot of activities. hiking, island-hopping, underground river... food is good, fresh & reasonably priced. don't forget to try authentic vietnamese food by the "boat people" who have settled there.
there's also el nido, coron... lots of pretty beaches and not too many people.
