plate nos. other than Gxx-xxx Yxx-xx. are they ok or safe to buy? naa man gud gihagad sa amo nga sakyanan pero Fxx-xxx ang plate no... Murag mas naa man tay peace of mind if start ug G or Y plaka gud...

any inputs or tips would sincerely be appreciated. thanks!

kanang F nga plate number, murag gikan na sa region 6.. correct me if im wrong..

okie ra man siguro na kung naa lang na clean papers ang kana nga sakyanan.. ug kaila pud nimo ang imo palitan..

Better jud ang starting with G or Y kay cebu plate and chances are that the unit is in cebu its entire life, other plates not g and y are probably ferryed to cebu, and its history might be a little bit questionable, most especially manila plates cuz grabeh ang flood, ma timingan nya ka og flooded vehicle nga gi restore lang.

Basta clean papers gani then ma check sad ninyo sa LTO and history ana nga car..ok rana bisag dili G or Y ang start sa plate number.

it's not really an assurance that because it's letter this or that, the unit is there in its entire life. just like kanang mga plaka sa mga surplus, they don't start with "G" or "Y" and yet they've been here the whole time and did not come from mindanao. kanang mga sakyanan sa mga med rep, kasagaran ana Manila registered mana but they are running here in Cebu.. and the list goes on.

if you want to be safe, pa check sa LTO and TMG ang papers/unit. parti sa condition sa vehicle, find a good mechanic.

No the surplus vehicles where not here the whole time, they were shipped here some as parts, and only assembled here, and i said chances, its a great chance that the vehicle has not left cebu, if you were going to manila to visit someone and then come back to cebu, will you take your car with you?

you're right, they were ship. but so are the ones that are here. most of them if not all of them come from the dreaded place, Manila, especially from Laguna. that's where most of the brand new cars that are being sold here are either assembled or stocked after their arrival from thailand or somewhere else. in other words, the premise of having a "Y" or "G" as an assurance that you are safe from mother earth's wrath is rather defective.
