CEBU, PHILIPPINES--Both WBO superfly champ Fernando Montiel and challenger Z 'The Dream' Gorres made weight at today's official weigh-in held at the Rajah Park Hotel here.
Montiel, who earlier made at least five tries on the scales, came in at 115 lbs for the official weigh-in, while Gorres easily made weight also at 115 lbs.
Young phenom Rey 'Boom Boom' Bautista came in at an exact 122 lbs, while Mexican Marino Gonzalez checked in at 121.5 for their WBO Youth and Inter-continental superbantam showdown tomorrow.
Also, both Jimrex Jaca and defending champion Simson Butar-Butar came in at 130 lbs for their WBO Asia Pacific super-featherweight showdown.

Controversial bay UD man ta to Gorres..there was no warning on the Point deductions..crazy ang ref..sayop sad ang pag Scoring sa 2 ka judge imbis ang round 6 ug 7 kang gorres gi hatag man nuong montiel whoo blurred kaayo..maytag nay rematch

i was so disappointed with gorres' result..he put a very good fight.I have never seen him on tv before but he got my admiration in the end.

Z Gorrez para nako dili pa gyud angay mahimong champion, kung ingon ato iyang ayaw wala gyud lain style, dili gyud cya ma-kampeon,
Nalupig cya sa last 3 rounds kay nakuha ni montiel iya away, ug nalupigan sa pataasay sa hangin ug nilubad ang away tungod wala na hangin.

nanawag kos polis gabie kay naka witness kog robbery sa ako atubangan..sos pero i tot it would go either way manto. i also tot round 7 would do it for gorres sos nataghapan pagid pag round 10.. anyway deserving manpuds montiel ba kay siya may champion..the championship was almost there for Z sayang lang challenger mangud siya, kinahanglan deserving gid unta to.. sige lang. daghan pa mahitabo sa iya career..
