    Ki Aikido raman to ako na train before... tinuod, mag huwat raka sa opponent kung siya ang mo initiate ug first move, dakop2x ug kumo^.

    Effective ang aikido if holding techniques, kanang kidnap, hostage2x, or rape2x. Pero if one on one fight, lisod man gani pag sagang or pag likay ug kumo, kana pa hinuon nga imong dakpon. Labi na if kabalo mangamot ang imong kontra, naanay flaws and loopholes ang pure aikido.

    Okay ang aikido, pero I really discourage it nga mo stick langka sa art... nga purely defensive langka. Mas advisable if mo train pod ta ug offensive moves, like punching and kicking.

    I'm not sure sa Combat Aikido kay wala koy idea, pero in terms sa Ki Aikido, dili man gud apil sa training ang punching and kicking.

    OT: ang naka nice nuon sa Baseline Aikido, daghan kag ma kaila mga chicks mang training pod... Freestyle tsansing ang tirada nalang... ehehehe! Gunit2x ug gakos2x... ayaw lang pa obvious.

    Sa uban martial arts, bihira manta maka tsansing... hehehe!

    ako kay combat aikido sa baseline every 3-5pm sunday... mao to schedule nako sauna... naa may offense.. pero di jud kanang maka sakit.. distraction ra siya before nimo i apply ang technique.. correct my speeling if im wrong.. its called "ATEMI" mura siyag sa arnis na kadtong 13 main body parts na ig-on nimo... make kag combo.. then apply dayon sa technique!!! SANKYO!!! KOTEGAYZI!!! KOKYONAGI!! HEAVEN AND EARTH!! IRIMINAGI!! IKYO!! NIKYO!! mao ra ako ma remember jud. haha!!

    I have to agree on this especially that aikido is more on counter attacking. So it would be better to mix it up also with other effective ones like muay thai, boxing. You can also establish good kicking grounds if you will learn karate and muay thai since this can make you a better kicker.

    OT: Nindot ang BJJ and wrestling kung nahan ka mag pa chansing especially when you teach the ground defense and offense. Ligid2x jud mo murag nag layog2x lol.

    other aikido practitioners have seen these holes sa art. pure or traditional aikido is not to look for a fight but to make friends. thats the way and life of aikidoka and i think of other arts also.promoting peace. but of all of the arts i believe aside from tai ichi, aikido is an art that dont use own force to counter a force but to direct the opponents own force to subdue himself or NEUTRALIZE not to kill or not to inflict harm.Basically to make peace ra jud. Other dojos like in mandaue MODIFIED Aikido, tried to bend to the original path of the art. (bend lang ato i term kay i also personally believe nga the art has to evolve together with the times). they include hand,elbow and feet techniques to subdue an opponent. there is a TASTE of karate,juijutsu,arnis,and judo as combination before applying an aikido technique.If ATEMI, is to distract the opponent for you to apply the technique, this kind of aikido its Atemi to a higher level that can really knock an opponent black and white. they call it MODIFIED AIKIDO.which i really found real and can be effective in street fighting. again it is not anymore the true sense of the art. the foundation is still there. gi modified lang to adapt sa change of time.IKA NGA "if you have the chance to defeat an opponent befire you can use your art then use it" Your art is just your guide.But then again, aikido is for PEACE man. not of who is the strongest like other arts.     i agree!!! proper breathing/ki exercise good for cardio. asa na diay ang kato sa rivergate sa una?

    nag random tan.aw rako ug mga salida sa youtube.. and i stumbled on this.. grabe.. 3 months ra sa aikido... so white belter man siguro ni... hehe... one of the coolest move sa aikido iyang gi gamit. cote gaeshi...
