I guess the optimism is based that our country is safe for foreign movie makers to shoot. As for "Pinoy Pride" its our stereotype derive from 'the more the merrier' mentality.

Ka dghan na ug mga foreign movie na gi shoot sa pilipinas nya most of those movie bati ang image sa philippines.Just because it is shot in our country doesn't mean it is ours. The scenes could be that our country is composed of slums or sometimes our country is composed mostly of terrorist. Anybody seen act of valour? I am proud to be pinoy, I am just not happy of some pinoy having shallow thingking,claiming movies shot in our country as Pinoy movies....
