theres one called ORTHO EVRA. patches are convenient, you just need to remember to replace it every week. but women who uses birth control patch are exposed to 60% more estrogen compared to birth control pill, and that increases the risk of having (or dying) from a blood clot. it's still safe to use but you need to be aware of the risk your taking when using birth control patch.

consult a doctor about this matter. they can explain this to you alot better including the side effects and risk of taking using birth control. using birth control is not about "unsay mas nindot gamiton" , its about unsay imong ma uyonan. kung limtanon ka then maybe the patch is convenient for you coz you don't have to remember taking a pill everyday. every women react differently on birth control. some will gain or lose weight, some will have a smoother skin and some will have acne, some will have bigger boobs some dont, some will experience headache some don't. depende ra gyud kung unsay imong ma uyonan. sometimes you have to try different kinds before you can find the one that suits you.

and YES birth control patch are safe, but they are NOT the safest. i dont know if this warning is still on ORTHO EVRA packaging but if you buy one of those BC patch it comes with a warning in bold letters, saying "high levels of estrogen may put some women at increased risk for getting blood clots." , a warning that you dont normally find on birth control pills.

i think pills are much safer...and they are 99% effective. though daghan side effects lang. pills have been around for quite some time and haven't heard of anybody having any complications with it. the problem is kapoy lang gyud na mag intake everyday.
