Dessert is taken from the French word, desservir..meaning to clear the table. The practice of eating dessert started
in medieval times when after every banquet, the servers would clear the table and in its place put spiced wine and
some candied seeds. Thus, started the practice of eating desserts after a meal (while servers clear the table).
Im not really into desserts and dili automatic na for most people here..but when I do get a craving for sweets, it would usually be:
1. choco mint ice cream with choco fudge
2. baked cheesecake
3. Boston Creme Pie
4. Carrot Cake
5. Fresh Fruits
6. Strawberry Ice Cream
and a cup of very strong coffee!
I should try that when I go out. All the desserts look so great, but I am always (or at leat 90% of the time) too full to try them. Just would feel strange to me, to have dessert and then a regular meal.Originally Posted by Velvet
Maybe I should make a point of it to go out and have dessert as the meal itself, then I would have to (I have no choice...heheh) enjoy two desserts to make up for not eating a regular meal  (Not good for the waistline but it would only be on a rare occasion).![]()
important ang desert para pawala sa kaparat sa gikaon
i love desserts! in fact, no meal is complete (for me) without them... even if it's just a piece of chocolate, I really love eating something sweet after a meal!![]()
mango crepe, and sinful chocolate!!!!![]()
blueberry cheesecake
warm brownie cup (La Marea - Crossroads)
sundae
It's indeed the most essential, won't be satisfied without it.
