guys: i know this is not the right thread, but heck i don't want to make another one just for this. I know you guys are pretty good on this so i need your help. for some reason, the gradient tool wont change its color to the desired color i want. it's all grey/black and white as you see on the image below, i want a green gradient but it's not working. it's still gray/white... did i miss something with the settings? any suggestions or ideas why? or is my illustrator busted? *fiddles*

just click the white image beside the "type" word choose between radial or linear.hope this helps.

hey
i tried making one..its a polar grid right? and i was able to apply a gradient color to it by selecting the object using both direct selection tool and the selection tool....
you can also try to change the Options of the Polar Grid (doubleclick on the tool icon) to immediately make a Fill on the Grid...

well, yeah polar grid FILL option works. but I want the gradient tool to work. not just for polar grid. i really think something's wrong with my software ( or with me). but I was able to use it before.. =(
