    Though the proposed law may be vested with personal interest, it however on its face, it has its downsides and upsides. Creating another law is not really the solution but the implementation of existing laws that already have enough teeth to prosecute crimes against intellectual property theft and abuse.

    ^ Yes, maybe this has something to do with personal interest especially Tieng’s uncle is Wilson Tieng, the CEO of Filipino entertainment conglomerate Solar. I would rather hear sentiments from artists about this bill. But then again, this will surely die down just like other bills.
