depende man pud na sa imong monitor jud bro, dili tanan LED monitors nindut og viewing angles... i don't even think naay impact ang LED ana kay it is still using the same panels as with the LCD ones, the only thing nga lahi is ang backlight. not sure ha, but kung naa may difference, dili siguro inana ka dako... depende jud na sa type/model sa monitor...
ang akong nahibaw-an nga nindut jud og viewing angles kay mga IPS type nga mga LED monitors...
LED is still LCD... your LCD monitor just has the LED backlight. Most likely your monitor is a TN panel because narrow ra ang viewing angle.
Other monitors like kana sa Apple monitors use a different panel (IPS panel) that has wider viewing angles but also mas expensive.
...Guys, I hope all of you know about LED TV. LED TV is not a new display technology but it is just an upgrade to the normal LCD televisions. There are some differences between a LCD television and a LED television.
Are you planning to buy a LED Television? then, you should always consider the pros and cons of LED Televisions before buying it. The major difference between a LCD TV and LED TV is that the normal CCFL (cold cathode fluorescent light) lighting method in an LCD is replaced by "Light Diodes: in LED TV. This will give better viewing experience compared to LCD TV. Now let us see the advantages and disadvantages of LED Televisions.
Advantages of LED televisions
Here are some of the important advantages of LED Televisions. Let us see them one by one.
- Picture Quality : This is an important advantage with LED TV over LCD televisions. You will be able to see a better picture quality if you use LED Television which is better than LCD TV. The black levels are improved a lot and you will see blackest colors. And since a LED TV uses LED ( light emitting diodes), the brightness is significantly improved over normal LCD televisions which use fluorescent bulbs.
- Energy efficiency : Besides better picture quality, LED Televisions are also energy efficient. They consume very less energy compared to LCD televisions. There is almost 50% reduction in the power consumption for LED televisions.
- The contrast is much better in LED TV compared to LCD television
- The life span of LED TV is better than LCD televisions
- Like LCD televisions, mercury is not used for lighting the display panel in LED television.
- A LED TV is the most reliable compared to LCD television or a plasma TV
Disadvantages of LED televisions
Here are some of the important disadvantages of LED Televisions. Let us see them one by one.
- Price : LED Televisions are quite expensive when compared to LCD TV or a plasma TV. It is almost twice the cost of a LCD television.
- It is difficult to mount the LED TV on the wall as they have more dimensional depth.
- Compared to plasma TVs, LED TV do not have better Contrast ratio
- Price / value is better for a plasma television compared to LED TV

^^ nice one bro...
though mo add lang ko sa power consumption part... ang mga LCD pde gihapon nimo pa ubsan ang consumption to almost equal sa LED kung imo pa ubsan ang brightness... depende sa monitor and/or individual preference, but i don't like my monitor to be so bright kay sakit sa mata... akong LCD monitor is merely running @ 30% brightness and it consumes half of its rated power (from 40 to ~ 20watts) making it at par with LED monitors in terms of consumption... picture quality-wise, satisfied pa man kaayo ko, again this is where personal preference will come in...
LED TV’s are LCD TV’s with a new backlight system. They are newly developed for LCD’s, because Light Emitting Diodes are said to give more balance in color saturation, and use less power than the fluorescent lamps. LED TV’s are the newest version, and that’s why they are currently more expensive than the standard LCD TV’s
so depende ra diay na sa backlights, panels, IPS or watevr it is...
by the way kanang mga monitor nga HD...bcg asa nga angle nindot na cya tan-awon?
pilia lng ang swak sa imoa budget,,,LED ftw.
nope, not entirely true... again, depends on the type of the monitor... look for an IPS type if you want wide viewing angles...
by the way, kung monitor lang imo gamit why do you want wide viewing angles? i mean, you'll be in front of your monitor or computer for most of the time while using it so i don't think it will really be cost effective if you get one of those expensive IPS monitors when in fact you're just within the tolerable viewing angles... but that's just me... i don't want to spend more than what i actually needed...
if this will be used for home entertainment or if you're referring to an LCD/LED TV, now that's another story... wider viewing angles will become very much significant...
