pm lang sir or visit our shop. no we cannot *** the iggys yet as they are still too young. iguanas reach sexual maturity at around 1 year of age.

^ Iguanas get really big so a glass aquarium is fine for a few months, but after that you need to think about constructing something more permanent.

    *Tip for the day:

Iguanas don't drink very often and get most of their fluid from their food so make sure that the food offered is fresh and not dried-up. Some believe that iguanas and other lizards have difficulty recognizing water in a bowl so try to provide moving water like a waterfall or fountain or else spray water droplets onto leaves.

we also recommend that iggys stay in a glass aquarium or alternatively a plastic bin for the first few months at least as they are in a delicate stage. if you use an enclosure made of wire mesh/screen, the chances of damaging the iggy is high. the tail can get caught, he/she can also injure himself easily as they jump/climb about the enclosure. so the best housing for a young iggy would be a glass enclosure with driftwood/branches strong enough for them to climb about
