A Quezon City policeman must have realized now that he is no match to the elite presidential bodyguards as he had just been sacked for not yielding to a presidential convoy along Batasan Road in Quezon City yesterday morning.
No less than presidential spokesman Edwin Lacierda spilled the news on what seemed to be a simple road altercation that cost Senior Police Officer 2 Ricardo Pascua’s career.
Calling Pascua an “arrogant” policeman, Lacierda, who wasn’t even at the place when the supposed altercation happened, said Pascua was relieved after obstructing the convoy of the President along Batasan Road in Quezon City yesterday morning.
He was sacked on the same day he committed the “offense.””

To set the record straight para sa mga anti-AbNoy, GMA minions, ug uban pa dinha especially those who unknowingly acted stupidly just for the sake of pride or maybe hate, mind you guys the SPO10 was not fired, is not terminated or dismissed from his job. He was relieved from his post and is temporarily assigned at GH Camp Karingal as gate guard. The investigation is still on-going, the worse scenario is he may face summary dismissal proceedings if the evidence warrants the same. Sayop ang media when they used the word "SACKED", also there is no distinction between "relieved" and "sacked" in tagalog which is "sinibak" or "nasibak".

To those who are familiar sa manila, imagine the distance from Ever Gotesco to Sandiganbayan in commonwealth. That is around 1.7 kms.. That's how far the stupid cop blocked the presidential convoy. The presidential convoy in manila always have the motorcycle cops as lead, then followed by the nissan safari's of the PSG. The cop ignored the warning of the lead motorcycles as well as the Nissan SUV's behind him, which is obviously much bigger than his Mitsu Adventure. What the cop did was not only plain stupid, but downright very very dangerous. It might have cost his life...

I don't get it. I thought that PeNoy does not use "wang wang" (siren) because he doesn't want special treatment in the streets. So why is he angry that this policeman did not give way to his "presidential convoy"? Isn't that supposed to be the case? By giving up his "wang wang", isn't he supposed to give up his "privileges" in using the roads of the land? If people are still expected to give way to his convoy, then what the bloody hell is the difference between having a "wang wang" and not having one?
