i happen to get the chance to go to JCenter Mall with my gf 2 weeks ago...and I said oh what the hell time to see the "legendary" Gold's Gym that carry the reputation where the great Arnold Schwarzenegger once built his physique...sa ka excited ko since naa ka meetup ako uyab kay naa xa paliton... i told her ill meet up with her later kay ad2on jud nako ang Gold's Gym bisan di nko kasulod for the meantime basta mka kita lang ko sa ila equipments/plates sa gawas kay ga plano nko na ang ako 13th month ako ipa enroll... to my great disappointment (correct me if im wrong...) the treadmills outnumber the plates and equipments!!! so you pay some 5 digits and all you get are those treadmills and all in one machines?!? cmon it aint Gold's Gym! ...Dont get me wrong its a dream for every iron brother to workout in Gold's Gym... I think the fee is more of for the other fitness services like the yoga and group cardio (are they even included in the initial fee??) I sincerely apologize for my comment especially to Gold's Gym members if nka offend ko sa ako above comments, maybe wla lang jud ko kabau how worth is paying Gold's Gym here in JCenter Mall with those equipments i saw... I would highly appreciate members or even non members to maybe clarify or explain how worth it being a member of the local Gold's Gym here..
I saw some Golds Gym sa Manila dako ug daghan man kaayo equipments if gamay ra na dha sa JCenter then it's not worth it kay mahal ra kaayo..........
I think Golds Gym here is a far cry from some Golds Gym I've seen overseas many years ago but I think it's also because Golds Gym has recently changed their image from being a more hardcore bodybuilder type gym to a fitness type gym that appeals to more people. So there is now less focus on straight-up weightlifting equipment and more on fancy programs that might attract more people.
murag ing ana jud na sir...pero di sad unta ing ana ka fancy wui kay luoy mn kaau ang mga members sa ila gibayad, well depende sad cguro ghapon kung unsay apas sa mag pa member dd2 nga cla lang naa nga wala ang uban gym clubs dri... what if they maybe toned down or kept the plates and bars and added the fancy stuff all they want, mka additional customers pa cla from serious lifters that want to experience the Gold's Gym experience....I think mas worth it pa ang Holiday Gym Spa given the amenities and services...just my observation

change your body. change your life.. that's their tagline...bodybuilding like arnold was a trend on then the 60's and 70's led by arnold and dave draper...
ang trend karun kay lahi naman pod....they are targeting both genders, men and women...each of us have different preferences when it comes to achieving a good physique...
ITS A BUSINESS after all...you cannot compete if you dont want to adopt changes and these changes is of the market itself....if Golds Gym solely stick to its hard core type of programs..i doubt gold still on the market run...
