Mas nauna pa report ang australian media even though the incident happened in our backyard. It may be a slight embarrassment for China, pero mas daku kauwaw for our country considering nga we cannot do anything to enforce our sovereignty. Sus pagkaluoy nato! We can only complain and beg Uncle Sam for help.

It's a good move for the Philippines to offer help. It's diplomatic posturing for us. Be the bigger man, RP...remember, the world is keeping the Chinese in scrutiny. We can only rely on this kind of "publicity" to the international audience.

IMHO It's a good move by the Gov't to offer help, just play whatever cards we have, kay di man gihapon nato na sila mapahawa ug pugsanay...

yeah, shrugging off the Chinese when we can offer them aid would be dumb. We can't beat them like this, the only means we can beat them is to play like the good guys--and that means we nobly assert ourselves without being underhanded. (most of) the world loves the noble, and China does not want to take on the whole world at the same time.
