Water is back, but not yet the tourists

THE FALLS BECOMES TRUE. The water flow to Mantayupan Falls in Barili town
is back to normal. Now all the town is waiting for are the tourists to come back.







Temporary solution


The detour is only a temporary solution.


Barili Mayor Teresito Mariñas earlier said that once they have completed the diversion
canal, the sinkhole will be sealed with cement as a permanent solution.


Vice Mayor Marlon Garcia said that re-routing the flow of the river will only serve as
a temporary solution and will not eradicate the problem.


He said that the municipal government should start with the source of the problem.


He asked why the cemented cover of the sinkhole, which was already there after the war, has been destroyed.


He insisted that quarrying triggered the river bed to collapse.

ni-adto ko sa Mantayupan Falls last Tuesday with my aunt.. murag taw-an tungod mingaw kaayo. very peaceful... kami ra duha sa akong auntie naa didto maski udtong tutok na. kusog man agas sa falls, mag-mist man gani sa among gilingkoran and bugnaw ang place. not recommended for children kay slippery especially didto sa first falls.

they have few rooms for rent with aircon (4 man guro to kabuok, located near the entrance - P1k) plus one room without aircon (located facing sa second falls - P700). naa kuno raft didto pero pag-adto namu wala man, but they have life jackets for rent (i forgot pila ila rent for 4 hours). pwede sad moh maka-sugba2x didto. bring your own food.
