Naa koy question regarding sa topic AC motors.
Naka sugat nako ani nga concept sa project sa ako amigo pag college, nagbuhat siya ug modified stepper motor gamit ang electric fan.
Ang method niya para maka kuha ug precise nga rotation/revolution sa motor kay, ang braking system niya... at that precise moment instead of AC ang nag supply sa iyang AC motor, pa sudlan niya ug DC voltage para mo brake dayon. According to him, if ang AC motor pa sudlan nimo ug DC voltage, maka create ug stationary magnetic field nya maka provide ug counter torque sa motor... para mo undang ug tuyok ang motor.
Dili man daw masunog ang motor. Ang akong question is, if pwede ni ang DC braking system sa mga AC motors, ngano wala man ni ge apply sa tanan? Naa koy e copy/paste sa wikipedia...
"DC injection braking is a method of slowing AC electric motors. A DC voltage is injected into the winding of the AC motor after the AC voltage is disconnected, providing braking force to the rotor.
A DC voltage is applied to the motor windings, creating a stationary magnetic field which applies a static torque to the rotor. This slows and eventually halts the rotor completely. As long as the DC voltage is applied to the windings, the rotor will be held in position and resistant to any attempt to spin it. The higher the voltage that is applied, the stronger the braking force and holding power."
Unsa kaha ang consequences ani? If ang statement "The higher the voltage that is applied, the stronger the braking force and holding power", pila man or unsaon nato pag acquire sa MAXIMUM allowable DC voltage para dili masunog ang motor?

para nako brod, butangan ug dako nga electrical load para mohinay o mohunong. sa generator nuon ni applicable. pwede butangan ug rheostat.

nindot unta ni e experimentohan kung naa ta backyard laboratory.
Except nuon sa VFD/Inverter type motor controllers, wala man ko naka sugat ani nga principle/technology sa trabahoan gud. Pero in theory, very applicable man kaayo siya.
