Default USB drive cannot store its maximum capacity...please help

I have a 2 GB usb drive. my friend stored some songs, but discovered that it stopped storing because its full or cannot be written in anymore. We checked the property, there is still 1.8 GB free space.
My question is what is wrong with the usb drive? unsaon para maka store pa ko ug full 2 GB capacity niya?

    Thank you for your help

-- Click START then CONTROL PANEL, locate FOLDER OPTIONS, click VIEW tab - under Advanced Settings - ENABLE Show Hidden Files and Folders

-- UNCHECK Hide Protected Operating System Files & Hide File Extensions For Known File Types..

e convert pa na nimo to kilobytes to megabytes to gigabytes, ika opata og divide ang total bytes to 1024 ang answer: 37.260101318359375 Gigabytes

    1024 bytes = 1 kilobyte
    1024 kilobytes = 1 megabyte
    1024 megabytes = 1 gigabyte
i quoted this from another thread. there is a conversion factor for this. if 2GB ang capacity then actual capacity will be lesser due to the conversion factor. this is the same with your flash drive question. then additional hidden system files pa jud. these hidden system files is responsible for the storage and arrangement of files. kung mawala ni na information then madaot pud tanan sulod sa flash drive.
