kobe is the closest thing to mj. kobe is not only loved in LA,when the Lakers goes to east, people buy tickets just to see him, to see someone with talent because they know the western teams(where the lakers belong) only comes to their town twice or once a yr.SPIKE LEE got disappointed when bryant was slapped with a single game suspension coming to the garden. many new york fans got angered and disappointed upon hearing the news too. james,wade and the rest are far compared to bryant's level(talent wise), as a true basketball fan,, you gotta accept that. pippen's comments were just his opinions, probably bitter knowing the blazers got kicked in the ass in that game 7 of the western con finals BECAUSE OF KOBE ...SORRY SCOTTIE. someone wrote here that kobe wouldn't have his rings with out shaq,,but could have shaq got his rings without kobe or without wade, or would have mj got it without pippen? right now MJ is still the greatest ever.... kobe's chances of surpassing Jordans are getting slimmer since hes getting older....... lets just see what this young guys do...

my bet right now is Lebron, for simple reasons leadership, he doesnt have to score tons of points to let his team win, and at a very young age he plays like he's a veteran..........and that is scary....... the guy is norming 26 - 28 points a game and posting 6 - 7 rebounds and 6 - 7 assist per game. those numbers are scary....

it really is unfair for this young players to be compared with jordan. it is also not right to compare them at this early stage of their careers.. give them another 5 yrs. they'll soon be forgotten coz the NBA would have another batch of jordans. if the NBA, maybe by 2015 is still all about MJ, d'you guys think the league has moved on?
