from what I heard. BRP Ramon Alcatraz will be turned over after refitting this November or December. The third WHEC for the PN is expected next year. I've got a feeling it will be USCGC Mellon.

yeh Mellon would be kind of optimistic. Murag Jarvis ug Rush man ang sunod. Possibly Gallatin kay mao maning na sideline atong 2011 kuyog sa Dallas. I know other countries like Bangladesh, Uruguay and Nigeria are interested in these cutters as the USCG is planning to decom the Hamiltons by 2020--they tried to get CGC Dallas before it ultimately ended up in the PN. Harpoons would be nice, that would increase the PN capabilities significantly with regards to a possible shooting war--I don't know if the Americans liked the results though about mounting harpoons on Hamilton classes. Anyway, that's the "teeth" I'm talking about. pricetag lang problema.

If ever we got the Italian ship, i prefer we arm this WHEC with Otomat, mas dali ang maintenance if single system only...
Plus we might be able to arm the Jacinto's with 2 or 4 Otomats... It might be cheaper than buying Harpoons...
