I have a social networking site the same with Facebook but I did not developed with my own.. I used phpfox software its really like Facebook features. But I discontinued it, bisag unsa nimu paadvertise sa imong social networking site, ang pinoy facebook ra gyud ang hilig.. Mga 3 months ra nakalive tong akong pinoy social networking site kuno... Pero malay nato basig maklik pud ning imong bisaya social networking site bay, depende ra na sa suporta og marketing. Basta ako, natak-an nako ana.. hehehe

Personally I do not think this site will click because it will just become another facebook look alike apps, unless there is a new set of features available that will really hook a lot of people. You can continue to develop this though as you will learn a lot of things in the process.

Naa namay nagbuhat na pariho ani bai... Kabalo ko naa gihapon sa istorya ang naghimo ato... nakalimot lng ko sa website. but the same xa sa facebook jd... Basta kung kinsa tong nakabalo sa website i share lng to... basta para to sa mga bisaya pud...

In my own opinion lang hah. I think the purpose of social networking is to connect people in one single network, not just targeting a specific group of people. Pero, ikaw ok ra pud na... explore basin diay mo click na. Naa pud ko plan before nga mag launch og facebook like social networking site for local pinoys, it's called weego. Pero ako gi scrap kay dili nako makaya ako ra usa. Besides, I don't have the luxury to waste time today kay u know, piit kaayu ta sa income and kelangan na mag work para maka kaun..

hi guys. thanks sa inyong inputs and for the feedbacks (positive/negative); and for those istoryans na nag PM to show support, big thanks, totally appreciate them.

i have been busy with another project (that pays) the past days/months; which stopped me from doing any progress in this Facebook-ish project.

also, i am sad to say that i will no longer continue this project. maybe because of boredome, and limited audience (like most of you mentioned here). i decided to focus on other projects that really pays, and not just gamble.

i am willing to give up my files/codes and send my *.php to someone here who really is very interested. just send me a PM, and give me your reason why you want to own the files and for what purpose (e.g. educational). a cash exchange will be helpful too. kidding! haha.

anyway, the screenshots are as follows, but take note that these are tentative pages, very rough ones, which took me almost two weeks fo finish (no CMS, created the pages and database from scratch), and then stopped hehe... :

basically the concept was simple. same to other social networking site, you can add friends, send message, post photos to your profile, update statuses. and in addition, you could join "barangays" which function similar to "groups".

Good luck on your project, nindot siya pero lisud na ni i-continue kay people are already in Facebook. If you have a group or organization, pwede gihapon ni nimo magamit. Let's say you have a Text Clan, etc. Pwede ari lang mo mag interact. But to be a new social networking site? Lisud. Unless you have a lot of money for advertising, as in TV and Radio advertising para maka gain ug exposure and genuine traffic.
