good day mga bro!
Ask unta ko kung unsay sakto nga adjustments ani nga set-up? mao ni ang set-up akong plano..
HU --> Crossover --> Amps (1 for mid-high, & 1 for subs) --> spkrs
Choose the crossover that gives you a better roll off or slope. To understand more about this, see this site as it would give you brief knowledge about roll offs and crossover points: Crossover Slope
If you cascade the two crossovers, the end result would be the product of the two crossovers. In w/c it could be pretty bad or it could somehow improve the audio depending on the characteristic of the two crossovers...
On my personal preference, I'd set the crossover points on the Headunit if it is equipped with DSP or in the DSP (Digital SOund Processor. Among the headunits that has this capability are Pioneer's P99rs, P88r; Alpine's CDA-117..
My headunit (AVH-4450BT) has crossover points @12DB slope per octave. And it gives me better result than letting the amp manage the crossover points. It has also preset time alignment (Sonic Control) to bring the sound stage upfront depending on the location of the listeners...
Dili sunogon imo crossovers, but if you didn't set your levels correctly imong drivers ang gub-on.. you don't want to send clipped signals to your drivers, 'coz in the long run, it would fry your voice coils.
Most tuners and I guess it's a rule of thumb, that 75% of Headunit's volume, should match the amplifier's maximum gain that delivers unclipped signals to drivers.
I think naa nay naka-post diri about level matching, and you should also read it sir, before mixing things up...
