If your that imaginative regarding UAV, DRONES, etc... it needs no legitimacy... onbviously, they are meant not to be seen.. and some SPYING were meant to be discovered.. it takes no expert to grasp this concept, bisan estambay sama nko, mka sabot..

    tsk.. tsk.. tskk..
The same is true with what china has been doin' all throughout this conflict. It's a matter of posturing. Letting us know that and telling us that they are in control.

the way i see this, the pronouncement made by noynoy is to make the "on-going" spying of US legitimate.. legitimate in the sense that the philippine government is allowing them to..

no more, no less... this is sort of provocation, diplomatic and political posturing..

this is, i guess, part of the master plan of noynoy's administration to involve the US as much as possible..

obviously, the US can't publicly ask us, to let them join and come into picture, but for sure, back door talks.. they're pretty much excited to get involved..
Yes, I understand that face in this issue. But I think RP's best move is to strengthen ties with the U.S. without invoking the issue in S. China Sea. The highest chance for U.S. to honor its responsibilities to us is if the rest of the world, save China, will see that we have not caused provocation in any way, shape or form. Kaning style nga we look like we're proactively pulling the U.S. into the issue, it will not win us sympathy. And sympathy is what we need the most right now. TBH China knows the U.S. have been monitoring the area as they are aware of the American capabilities, they are not stupid. This kind of posturing is unnecessary and will cause adverse effects to the rest of the world's sentiment regarding this issue. Contrary to belief, most military incursions are not reported to the media.

I don't know if PNoy used the word "spy" plane or if the article itself used the word (Reuters?) But I don't like it one bit. Spying would connote that we'd be peeking into Chinese territory when in fact, we're monitoring ours. Monitoring or surveillance would suffice.

i agree with this, i myself is not sure if the word "spy planes" was used.. yes bro, correct, MONITORING would be the best word..
