500 visitors a day and 1,500 at it's peak is insane.

im just concerned sa negative effects sa environment like pollution (basura)

let nature take its natural course.

feeding these gentle giants could alter their eating habits and would result in shorter lifespan for these animals. specially if we're gonna feed then chemically induced feeds.

@kentoy0224 as of march, their natural food has disappeared from the waters off Oslob and now they are buying "uyabang" (a larger shrimp)- around 100 kilos@ Php100/k every 3 days. Tuki will not (at least as of now) eat anything that is not in their natural diet. There was an incident in the beginning of the year where a tourist fed it a piece of pork and the tuki "spat" it out at the tourist hahaha. Let's hope they remain as discriminating!

@siopao1984 I know right! the basura is a problem as the municipio (which gets 30% of the revenues- that's a lot believe me) hasn't addressed any of the concerns of the barangay. No trash cans, no enforcemnet of building codes (so the run-off from construction goes directly into the ground and consequently in the ocean), an of course the eco-footprint of that many people in a very small area.

Nope definitely not a clone account , Tuki Chronicles account was made by friends who started the serial documentary. The latter comment ( by Tuki Chronicles ) which responded to posts was done by Martha , you can directly communicate with them through their Tweeter and Facebook account posted here.

what if kaneng mga taga oslob mahutdan na ne ug pagkaon para sa tuki? kibaw pa kaha na ug mangeta ug pagkaon ang mga tuki considering nga naanad naman na sila nga lawgan.
