I lean on the scenario that this was consensual just gone awry.

How will the authority determines if its consensual or not? given the scenario that the japs were very drunk (?) and half-conscious (?).

The victims, aged 21 and 20, were renting an apartment in Lapu-Lapu City.
While walking near their rented apartment, the suspects allegedly befriended them.
Finding the two Koreans friendly, the girls trusted them and gave their cellular phone numbers.

At the mall, Lee allegedly called and they agreed to meet at a coffee shop.
From the coffee shop, the Koreans brought them to Busay for a round of drinks.
At midnight, they went to a resto bar in Mango Square and had another drinking bout.
The victims claimed that when they were already very drunk and half-conscious, the Koreans brought them to a motel in Lapu-Lapu City.

I find their story lacks credibility, I don't believe their allegation that they were too drunk to realize they were going to a motel. Too many cases of false rape accusation so unlike you I'm not gonna easily believe every rape allegation.

Absolutely right. The problem is that the 'new books' or the 'new set of rules' of our justice system have put a stereotype on all men especially if the case involves something against women. Its result is terribly displayed in Western family court systems where parents (usually fathers) and their children are separated by the ruling of the State. To crudely put it, the government have placed Men as potential criminals. While women can be excused (what they call 'pussy pass') for improper conduct even violent behavior claiming it as a result of abuse (obviously) because of a man or because of the woman's parents but never about 'her'. False rape cases are just the tip of the iceberg. Its a big problem in the justice system that could be traced to feminist movements and their adherents who are enrolling in law schools. Long story.
