I dunno just a speculation, maybe they are looking forward to getting the next Lottery Pick. maybe Greg Oden or Kevin Durant... that's why they are losing

are they giving up games intentionally? paul pierce has just returned to their line-up. this would help the celtics win in the games to come.. hmm.. i think pierce might want out of boston if this bad streak continues.

darn, phoenix lost again.. steve nash and boris diaw is out.

Gilbert Arenas said he would score 50 points against Portland.

He finished with nine points in a loss.

    Portland 94, Washington 73

arenas was actually criticized by NBA critics that he's starting to take the game too personal. he's turning his game into a personal show, trying to prove all his detractors wrong, which in effect, puts the entire team system in jeopardy.

yes I agree. if you read his blogs on NBA.com, he said he would even drop 81 on Duke and Coach K. He was really bitter for being cut out of Team USA. Taking it too personal indeed

Some people think that they're tanking for the top pick this coming draft. And I think that's what they are doing right now. I would say that the losses are self-inflicted but I think they should win against the struggling Milwauee Bucks in the next game kay mabuang na sila in their next games. They almost made it against Minnesota pero they fell short. A win vs. Bucks should end the streak and survive the West parade at Sacto, Phoenix, LA Lakers, Utah and Houston.

Right now they have the worst record in the league, with 12-38, while Memphis is second worst with 13-39. I can say it's the other way around but with their 18 straight losses, they are the worst team right now. And if they can't win against Milwaukee, I'm looking for a 24-game losing streak before returning home and host the Knicks. For improvement's sake, they should do something before the trade deadline and keep the Celtic pride afloat. Good luck!!!

    Longest losing streaks:
    24 Cavaliers March 1982-November 1982
    23 Grizzlies February 1996-April 1996
    23 Nuggets December 1997-January 1998
    21 Pistons March 1980-October 1980

Gilbert should grow up. He can't take personal interests when the game is needed to be won the most. Arenas is a poor man's Kobe Bryant right now while Kobe himself is taking his teammate to new heights, I can't imagine Gilbert talks a lot more on scoring 50's and 70's against those coaches who derailed him of whatever spot he is supposed to be in. I'm actually thinking about putting Arenas on the top of my "don't-like" list.

YEY!!! Five straight on the road since a seven straight on the road in 1993. That's more like it. The Hawks are owning right now. They have the Magic's number and now they have the Warriors'. Joe and JSmoove are getting in on it. I expect another intensity they showed last night against the Jazz at Utah tomorrow, but of course if they're too cocky and start spilling their leads like a baby's milk, it's bye2x streak.

Last time they played vs. the Jazz, the Hawks lead by as many 15-20 points, then suddenly they collapsed in the fourth and lost the game. That was some horrendous display of performance and how I wish they can't replicate that feat this time. GO HAWKS!!!

If the Clippers keep dropping their games and the Chris Paul-led Hornets are going to sizzle with another string of wins, they can take the 8th spot. AND... if Denver keeps on disappointing archer_sensation, the Hornets can squeeze themselves for the 7th spot. Good luck to them then.
