    U are absolutely right. The media likes to twist things because it's there to control ur mind. But I think some people have been overfed to a point that they become immune to what is true.

    faith should be accompanied with deeds, or the other way around

    Am afraid this might be off topic... but speaking to our muslim brothers, I have more respect for them coz they read their koran everyday than for us who claimed to be christians but rarely read our bible and can't even quote a single verse in the scripture. How can we have good works if we don't know the whole counsel of God. As what apostle Paul stated in Romans 7:7 "What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet." Also in Ecclesiastes 12:13-14," Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. 14 For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil." So kung humble lang gyud ta mo read our bible everyday we will grow spiritually, and can even bring revival to our nation. But first we need to get saved first in order to discern and apply spiritual things otherwise we may end up like what 2 Timothy 3:7 says that "Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth." For me good works is very important to that we should follow after we have been cleansed and washed by the blood of the Lamb. But what I've said, ask the forgiveness and repentance from the Lord first aron dili nata maglisud ug maintain sa good works. Based on experience sa kaniadto nga wala pako mo desisyon ug dawat ni Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour lisud gyud kaayu as in lisud ang pagtinarong bisan nasudlan nalang nako ang lain laing relihiyon and deep type of zen meditition to control the mind, body, and spirit. I heaven, it doesn't matter whither we are born-again, catholic, baptist, etc. Jesus was once suffered, offered, and died. And his death is never to be repeated again and again, in any form or shape or whatsoever. Lastly my beloved friends here in istorya.net, in this church age dispensation mao ni ra gyud ang makapaluwas nato: 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 "Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
    2 By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
    3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
    4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:" To God be the Glory. Maranatha

    Luke 12:13-15
    Then a certain one of the crowd said to him: “Teacher, tell my brother to divide the inheritance with me.” 14 He said to him: “Man, who appointed me judge or apportioner over YOU persons?” 15 Then he said to them: “Keep YOUR eyes open and guard against every sort of covetousness, because even when a person has an abundance his life does not result from the things he possesses.

    this indicates another point that Jesus is not part of Trinity, and Jehovah his Father is the Highest Judge. If Jesus is the true God why John 17:3 point another Higher Person than Him?

    It says:
    This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ.

    all of us sinned, then how can we stand before men when we all sinned?

    Think:
    kinahanglan sad nato masabtan nga nisulti si Jesus nga sa panahon nato naa sad nga muangkon nga siya si Jesus, and we must know who is the Real Jesus indicates in the Bible. we should learn carefully by reading the Bible.

    Matthew 24:23-25
    [23]Then if anyone says to YOU, ‘Look! Here is the Christ,’ or, ‘There!’ do not believe it. [24]For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give great signs and wonders so as to mislead, if possible, even the chosen ones. [25] Look! I have forewarned YOU.
    Mark 13:21-23
    Then, too, if anyone says to YOU, ‘See! Here is the Christ,’ ‘See! There he is,’ do not believe [it]. 22 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will give signs and wonders to lead astray, if possible, the chosen ones. 23 YOU, then, watch out; I have told YOU all things beforehand.

    Many will say Jesus is God, Son God, part of Trinity.
    Other say Jesus is a Prophet or Man

    But the Bible indicates that he (Jesus) is the Son of God

    Beware this text indicates that even satan works can be deceiving.

    2 Cor. 11:13,14
    For such men are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into apostles of Christ. 14*And no wonder, for Satan himself keeps transforming himself into an angel of light.

    i could say both..interpretation from a bible verse..

    1 Samuel 16:7
    But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look on his appearance or on the height of his stature, because I have rejected him. For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

    and also try reading the book of John chapter 9
    where Jesus healed a blind man since birth,Jesus' disciples asked Him if who sinned?the blind person himself? or his parents..asssuming that his condition was a result of sin..Jesus answered neither..Jesus said the reason is so that the glory
    of God may be displayed through him..having read the verse and also according the verse in the book of samuel i posted above...
    not all sufferings are caused by sin, by wrong dicisions...it's just simply an invitation for an increase of faith..to let God be God in the midst of hardships...like the blind man in the bible, he could have chosen to refuse Jesus from healing him 'cause he could have drowned himself in self pitty..he could have gave up and killed himself the day before he met Jesus which would have been too late for him to be healed.but he didn't instead the blind person accepted Jesus' healing...blessed are those who wait,and other translation for wating is to have faith...the blind person couldn't possibly do any physical good works..or he could but just enough for himself.the only good work that is visible in this man is that he had the heart to wait, because of the faith in him.
