15 Top Paying IT Certifications for 2012

Need motivation to study for your certification? Read the latest report from Global Knowledge about top paying IT certifications for 2012 and perhaps that will give you the inspiration you need to take the exam! As you will see from the article, several Cisco certifications are among the top positions, for example:


In position 7, CCNP® – Cisco Certified Network Professional – $90,457
There are two tracks available at the Associate and Professional levels: Cisco Certified Design Professional and Cisco Certified Network Professional. The Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) demonstrates that you have the ability to plan, implement, verify, and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks. A CCNPcertified individual is expected to work collaboratively with other Cisco specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless, and video solutions.


In position 10, CCNA® – Cisco Certified Network Associate – $82,923
The Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) validates the holder’s ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-sized route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. CCNA curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. This new curriculum also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, and access control lists (ACLs).

The figures are positive, however the article reminds us that having a certification does not mean you will walk into one of these higher paying jobs, as it is certification combined with experience that will count. Another important point is that times have changed and having a certification no longer guarantees a job offer, but now it is more of a disqualifier – not having a certification means you may not even get an interview!

ambot ning mga companies sa pinas nga ilang gi-tagad ang IT as wala lang. i have been in different IT rooms sa mga dagko nga cebu companies, ambot lang murag gihimo pang bodega or tambakanan sa mga guba, way atiman, bati ug aircon, agkot ug salog. ang nindot lang kadtong mga call centers but not all kay naa sad uban ga gubot lng agi. basta mo-andar lang ang system ok na, bisan ang tower casing sa karaan pero nag-andar nga server gihimo ng linkoranan... lols!
