    nice one... common na factor sa electronic vs live drums production kay, lisod gyud ang drums.. hehehe... sa electronic, mabuang ka pangita ug samples kay mahal.. sa live drums, kinahanglan maayo ang drummer, nindot ug drumset and micing arrangements ug nindot ug room.. drums gyud maoy pinakalisod i-record...

    @EZRA,

    by the sound of mikmik's production, it is 100% no drum triggering.

    @chow_cjc,

    can you please include the engineers? to me, this the most important aspect!!! we may have world class artist but without good sound engineering, ............. just fill in the dots..

    micmic uses triggers, in our records sa backyard nag metronome mi and iya gtrigger ang drums astig au. and it doesn't sound very synthetic he's got a good ear.

    different man jud ang synth drums compared to real ones. mas daghan ka problems sa live set up daghan au issues to tackle. sa synths u have to pay for it. but i've been doing some research there's a lot of good dounding FREE VST's VSTi's out there. check out SF2midi.com and customize the sounds to your needs, creativity lng and a good ear.

    i've experienced working with micmic(backyard) taas taas na jud iya nahibal.an in sound engineering. nahan kau ko patudlo ana niya. but busy jud and mauwaw ko, d mi close. hehe.

    poldo(zzubu) he knows his stuff, pero depende man gud sa musical influences, rock jud cya. rocker imo engineer, rock jud mugawas.. know what i mean?

    but sa general pop (vocal recordings) the best studio ive heard is sountracks sa labangon, with sir gani. singer man gud ni cya so, and very technical. but falls back on musical instruments. c elvis pud of music kenesis, he's got good equipment located sa trans-asia bulding near plaza independencia.

    katong interested in digital recording join mo ani nga thread..

    ahh ok. song to nga wala maggamit ug trigger si mikmik.

    you can also use DRUMAGOG together with the live drum part. nindot ni siya kay velocity sensitive.

    mikmik triggers upon post production only.. he doesn't employ trigger sensors.. he uses the triggered layer together with the original drum sound para naa gihapon siya'y pagka live sounding.. by the way, ga trigger na sad si POLDO AND BRIAN SACRO... pero i don't think it's accurate to say that sila lang ang ga-trigger sa tibuok pilipinas kay i think the drum sound sa TOWER OF DOOM sa manila kay mura man ug triggered sad.. however, manila recording studios don't really employ triggers kay daghan man sila ug drumsets, nindot ila rooms and microphones.. they don't need to trigger na gyud..
