Here comes another place that offers diners the chance to satisfy those insatiable appetite for good food minus the gigantic bill after, Surfin’ Ribs which had just opened a few months back is a new place in town where food aficionados can be treated to some good food which is good on the wallet.
Surfin’ Ribs had their soft opening last March 10, 2012, where eager diners finally got a taste of their special mouth-watering dishes. Escario Street, alongside Golden Peak Hotel, the newly-opened Surfin’ Ribs looks promising as ever as reviews from pleased diners on their Facebook page as well as Twitter continue to praise their ample selections in the restaurant. They not only serve scrumptious dishes that appeal to anybody’s palate, they come at very affordable prices as well. Things are definitely looking up for this restaurant with a hint that it would soon be dubbed as the new ribs and seafood restaurant in Cebu.
Now we get down to the menu, starting off with the best-seller and must-taste specialties in the house, which is Pete’s Ribs -every meat lover’s dream. The dish comes in two options: Spicy or the Original, this hearty pork ribs is richly seasoned with select spices and slowly grilled until tender and juicy. You will immediately notice the generous serving, with its huge chunk of baby back ribs. Pete’s Ribs would set you back Php159 with rice and only Php169 with mashed potatoes. The dish was named after the father of owner. The owners, who are fond of good food, thought it best to introduce various seafood menus into their selections. Moreover, they priced them at very reasonable and affordable rates for every Cebuano to try and taste.
Seafood items on the menu to check out includes the Shrimps Platter one should definitely try. A flavorful plate of sweet and saucy shrimps that’s topped with a generous amount of garlic butter sauce has a unique aftertaste that will definitely linger in your mouth. This is a perfect combination for an after-work beer binge. Add to that, it is reasonably priced at Php149 considering the hefty serving. The Bobby J’s Spicy Crab (very large serving) is worth every single penny! The crabs are bathed in garlic, spices and butter. Their heavenly alimango claws (The Claw), which only cost Php120, is a delight for seafood lovers. These hand-picked alimangos are filled with sweet and spicy meat, which are pre-cracked and served in a bucket.
Aside from those mentioned above their Chili Wings can spice up your night as you take a bite of their mid-crisp chili wings made delectable with a blend of hot, sweet and spicy flavored sauce. This comes with a blue cheese dip and costs Php130. They also serve Crispy Pata (no restaurant should be missing this!), which is perfectly deep fried to bring out the crunchiness outside while keeping the tenderness of the meat inside. Once you have a taste, you’ll surely want for more. It would up more space to write down every detail and culinary ecstasy with every bite with what they serve on their menu therefore its best to head over and experience it yourself!
