    I don't have exact amounts but I know they get paid a lot. The top officials are paid more than some CEOs of multinational companies. their ministers get around 850,000 usd per year, the prime minister gets around $2 million usd. This is because of Lee Kuan Yew's idea that politicians are corrupt and greedy by nature and the only way to keep them from stealing is to pay them a big salary.

    We should just accept all criticisms regardless if its true or not and convert it as opportunity for improvement. The country would be better off that way.

    The writer of the article is entitled to his own opinion and I am also entitled to my opinion. My opinion is Singaporeans are arrogant and discriminating people. They are just lucky to have a country that is strategically located for trade. If not, they are as poor as beggar. Singapore was once a part of Malaysia but broke away from Malaysian State due to its selfishness.

    I've been to Singapore and believe me, the Singaporean sucks!
