of course ill buy it if I really need it and its cheaper than the rest but mag lagot sad ko why misleading ilang ads.

there are some people though nga bisag cheaper tinuod, they will not buy it kay they already felt deceived by the false price and they no longer trust you enough to buy your product...

I mean, if sila ang cheapest gyud, why do they have to lie to me and tell me nga 10 pesos ra sya. Just be professional enough to tell me nga tag 100 pesos ang book in the first place...

Why mahadlok man sila mu post sa actual price if sila na pinaka barato? or is this just marketing gimick to hide the actual price para didto na sa ila ang customer?... Ethics....

the goal of every business is to attract customers... But you see, even if you felt being lied to, you are still buying the book... If ever their real price is higher than other offers, then i think you would naturally opt not buying the book.

The point im getting here is that we, as customers, are more effective in disciplining these unscrupulous business practices by denying them of sales rather than having the government set another regulation that might stop these kinds of faulty advertising, but they might also cause additional problems that are unforeseen.

A better example to explain the situation would be... lets say mu palit ka ug book nga gi advertise as 10 pesos then you go to the store cos na interested na ka sa book... then you find out nga naa diay additional charges (transpo, taxes etc) unya tag 100 pesos diay to ang book.

malipay kaha ka atong ads nga tag 10 pesos ra ang advertised price? Para nako, its plainly misleading and shrewd low down/dirty marketing gimmick.

The PISO fare should be advertised as PISO plus the actual amount of the TAX .

Masabtan naman siguro nga promo fare... something is hidden in the website because its their marketing strategy pero visible man ang charges sa receipt. Ang angay nila tan-awon kay kanang overbooking due to the promo kay daghan ma delayed nga flights.

ilad ilad. my point is if they are so proud on being the cheapest airline to fly, why would they go as far as deceiving people in the first place?

kanang allowed nga 10% or 15% overbooking? why do that? in short kung full pack ang say 100 seats, the extra 10 people don't get to ride because someone was there a bit earlier? how about katong naka palit ug promo seats? hangin nalang? non refundable non rebookable man kaha?

I agree with your point on the ilad ilad sa promo fare.

Pero with regards sa 10-15% overbooking, I would just like to say nga internationally, this is common practice.

They do this because naa gyud nay certain percentage of passengers nga mu no show. (usually businessmen) So it would hamper their ability to give the lowest possible fares if 85-90% ra ang maximum load sa ilang planes. You would want to always make it as close to 100% as possible.

Having said that, to avoid inconvenience sa mga ma bump off nga passengers, the airline should balance their ability to accommodate passengers with maximizing occupancy sa airplanes. To do this, they should overbook only if naay ra dayo'y available nga next flight within an acceptable time frame. Or they should be prepared to compensate the bumped off passengers and make arrangements for reaccommodation so as not to leave the passenger hanging.

Also, they should work with the other airline para ma accommodate ang bumped off passengers sa lain airline. Another practice sa gawas is to upgrade to business class or first class ang mga frequent flyer para make room sa economy.

Next, they should buy back the ticket from passengers for 2x or 3x the price or entice passengers who will gave way with a free round trip flight or cash inconvenience fee.

Lastly, they should pay the full board and lodging plus monetary compensation / free flight kung wala na gyud available nga flight plus refund for missed flight / hotel...

It's all a matter of managing the operations properly to make sure maximized ilang occupancy sa planes / profits and ma minimize mga bumped off passengers .

Naka experience na ko ani internationally where overbooked ang Business Class and Puno na ang First Class. What the airline did was they enticed business class passengers to give up their seat... sit in Economy unya they will give that passenger $600 USD + a free roundtrip flight.
