Light Sensitivity.
So, its like kung daytime, you'll use less sensitivity due to large amounts of light such as ISO 100, 200, etc, then at night time you'll use higher sensitivity due to less amount of light coming in... somewhere around ISO 1600, 3200, 6400, 12800[for your 650D].
There are advantages and disadvantages to using high ISO; sometimes noisy na ang image if HIGH ISO that's why you have to compensate by using expensive wide aperture lenses, such as the 50mm f1.2, depending on your low-light conditions.
