mga experts... I badly need your opinion and help. I fear that my Hedgie, Miaka is affected by WHS. Last month healthy pa kaayo cya. Kusog pa kaayo modagan and active kaayo. All of a sudden just 2 weeks ago I thought na sprained lang to cya. I didn't notice na it was a symptom na diay of WHS. Tarong pa man unta to cya mokaon. Then just 2 days ago wala na cya gana mokaon. Then yesterday dili na cya mokaon even ang isa ka superworm dili na nya mahurot in seconds. She can barely even finish one. Puro na lang tubig. Dili na cya kalakaw and if mo tindog cya, ma tumba dayon. Luoy kaayo tanawon. I've read and browsed online and it seems that wala daw cure. Any help would be much appreciated.

I'm sorry to hear that bro, and yes afaik wala pa gyuy cure ani... where did you get your hedgehog bro, if you don't mind me asking? I haven't tried going to any vet here since wala pa ko ka-experience pod ani and mejo wala gyud pod kaau sila knowledge regarding hedgehogs illness pa. But try lang basin si kagami-chan naay ika-recommend nga vet nimo nga maau.

Important update lang for the group... Sir Tyrone (aka Mazelle Exoticz) is planning to meet us this July. I believe, this is a very good opportunity para mkameet up na pod ta, since mejo dugay2x na wala tay EB. And this time, with a reputable breeder as our guest from manila.

Hi Andy Xtian, I'm so sorry to hear that bro. Sadly, WHS is passed down genetically. I have a feeling that this hedgie MIGHT be another product of mass production. That's why before breeding, it's really important to consider the health of the parents to avoid any genetic illness being passed down to the hoglets.

The best to do is to expect the worst nalang bro. I know it's sad, pero this illness has no cure so far. Only prevention. But if you would like to bring him to a vet, bring him to Animal Wellness. They attend to hedgehogs, so ask lang if unsa ang options sa dr.

Yep. Brought her to Animal Wellness yesterday. Dili pa pud sure si Dr. Gil kung unsa jud but we're hoping dili to WHS. Bought it from a friend ra pud. It was my bad pud na wala nako gi check ang background sa parents but regardless, when she was at her best condition, lingaw kaayo mi sa iya. Will call back today to check her status.

hi guys. ask lang ko kay kinda concerned lang ko. ni kalit lang ug hyperactive akong hedie. cge sya run around in a circle really fast everynyt. na weirdohan rako at first bt naka notice ko na grabe na sya ni lose ug weight. what to do with my prokchop? pls help.
