Why woudn't use my brain... it's mine, I carry it 24/7 since I was born and the moment I woke up to learn - I managed to get things done my own way. Spirtual guidance, yes and no. Yes, sometimes we ask help but if I can do it by myself... no, I don't need spiritual guidance. So based on your interpretation... 2 types of knowledge... heavenly - you mean the bible? and earthly things. Bible is a book! it has its authors and these authors are human beings... who knows if they add colorful words or not. Kana man ganing tarung nga istorya nimo sa imong amigo - the next thing you know, ospital ka na! Bible is not perfect... if you say God is perfect then Bible isn't. Why? people wrote and contributed things they hear and believe and these same people are bound to commit mistakes... even Christ got mad when he saw the palce of worship turned into a "market". We as people are made to take trials and errors in the first place. God created the man and woman but why does he put into a place where there is forbiden fruit, and for what purpose? to commit sin? so simpol lang... He gave us a test if we can resist tempatations.. ad so we did! Not even you can escape that. So, do you think that heavenly knowledge is only way to know things? there are so much ways to learn. No, forbiden fruit was given to Adam and Eve for God to test if in a simple commandment they can follow or obey. Because there are many fruit bearing trees in the Garden for Adam and Eve to eat but they are not obedient in Gods Law.

So my next question, how do you balance eartly and heavenly knowledge?

Heavenly knowledge should surpass the earthly knowledge if you believed in God.

In heavenly knowledge we can escape from evil things, like drugs, rape, adultery, gambling, drunk, smoking, illegal transaction, corruption and false christ. Earthly knowledge can't be attained equally by individual because it will depend with the capacity of our brain, unless Heavenly knowledge is given by God without measures. Everyone can have it equally for harmony.

Yes we have our brains but we should use it properly and wisely, its like a knife, its usefull to cut meat and peel fruits and vegetables but its not rigtheous to use it to slay or murder humans. There are minds/brains that is used to make atomic/nuclear bomb, to mix drugs, an creative director for PORN film.
We have brain, we should use it to a good purpose. When you do this, the purpose is to understand the gift and love of GOd.

This is what I've been trying to say, everything that God gave us are purely thought provoking... it's upto you to understand - he gave us neverending puzzles, then it's up to you or me to solve that puzzle.

Your argument is a common sense, that is a part of the brain.
Your example about going to school, getting a job, money to feed your family is our nature and our obligation. The word wisely is to choose if you want a legal or illegal job, are you going to finish school or not, are you going to be a responsible or not.
People who are hunger for power are the one who created mass distructive weapons, because they want to be respected and have power. "Power of Love not Love to the Power".

The forbiden fruit is a test because Man was given a free will by God.
So the Free Will was abused by Adam and Eve and by us humans after them.
We think that our free will is to follow Him today and not tomorrow because I have a date.
Not to gamble today but on Sunday is a derby.
Not to take drugs today because tomorrow is a concert and its good to be under the influence of drugs on concert day.

God wont know what will you do until you will decide it in your heart.
He can do it to know it but the FREE WILL was the gift to us.
