Jeff Caplan of ESPN Dallas suggests Shawn Marion could be a trade candidate this summer.
Marion, 34, has two years remaining on his contract and the Mavericks are looking to get younger. Caplan also calls Marion an amnesty candidate, but we believe that's more likely for Brendan Haywood. Marion is slated to earn approximately $18 million over the next two seasons.

Unrestricted free agent Delonte West is hoping to re-sign with the Mavericks.
ESPN Dallas previously speculated that West wasn't expected back with the Mavs, but West would love to return to the team. "I've embraced the offense Rick (Carlisle) runs and how he likes to play," he said. West also said that he feels like he has a lot to offer and plans to work on his floater in the offseason. He's a very intriguing free agent and should be pursued by a number of playoff teams that don't have a ton of flexibility to be active in the market.

Unrestricted free agent C.J. Miles hinted that he'd like to join the Mavericks.
Miles was an All-American at Skyline High in Dallas and then went straight to the NBA. The Mavs certainly have cap space and are in desperate need of a youth infusion. Miles just turned 25 in March.

It was a series of firsts for Dallas: Dirk Nowitzki won his first ring and was named Finals MVP after averaging 27 points and 9.4 rebounds in the Finals; veteran point guard Jason Kidd finally got a title at age 38; and the Mavericks earned their first championship in franchise history with a 4-2 win over the Miami Heat. It was also one of the most thrilling series to date, with loads of talent on the floor and a slew of controversies. After LeBron's infamous "Decision" to join fellow superstars Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami the summer before, James and the Heat garnered as many haters as fans as they pushed through to the Finals. And it seemed the haters got their wish as vintage LeBron James disappeared and a mediocre player took his place when Miami needed him most.

Lamar Odom is reportedly hoping to play for the Knicks if the Mavericks waive him, a source tells ESPN New York.
The Knicks would be "on the top of his list," the source tells ESPN New York. "Lamar is big on being comfortable, and New York is somewhere he can be comfortable." Odom is from Queens. We expect to see a ton of speculation around Odom throughout the offseason, but the Knicks wouldn't be offering him the same money other interested teams may be able to for next year.
