if only our educational system didnt change to the "tagalog or cebuano only - teaching policy", most people would be very fluent with english. i remember my grandpa telling me most of his friends talk like americans during the 50's and 60's. even ordinary farmers were able to speak decent english. tungod anang mga kaboang sa atong mga opisyales sa edukasyon, ni depreciate ang atong pagka maayo mo english.

i dont hate the job of being in a call center. it has helped thousands of lives. imagine our country without the call centers. wala jud ta growth ana. lets compliment also the benefits of all the call centers here in our country. the only downside with this kind of business are the ones who handle the call centers. too much politicking and not giving the exact benefits are a disadvantage to the workers.

i'll say again as i posted in this type of topic, it's all about managing your hard earned cash. being in a call center gives you an opportunity to earn on top of the basic employment class, say 5k-10k more.. but what will you do with it? are you going to live day to day and invest in the present like gadgets, vices, etc, rather than investing in the biggest expense of your life which is retirement?

@J-Abs is right, there is no security tenure in a call center. no matter how you praise your site, your TL, but when the time has come for the account to close, it's either reprofile or resign.

its senseless to say na dili job. when your ask to do something for a fee, that's a job.

i rather work in a call center. why? try checking on the sunday job ads, or any job webistes, unsa naa daghan available position? then ang mga non-call center work, unsa mga requirements ana? get the idea?

it depends on your definition of a job.

maybe some would say "call center raka ga work?" because most of those who work in the industry kay wala kahuman college. But ang pangutana, kabalo ba mo mo-english pareha nila? kabalo ba mo mo-handle ug calls? kabalo ba mo mo-handle ug irate respondents, kabalo ba mog sales talk?"

dli man gani dagay siguro mo ka last ug uska bulan.

dli dapat sayun sayunon ug tan aw ang call center. most of those working in the industry are the most flexible nga mga tawo akong nailhan.

They can work on graveyard shifts, shifting scheds, do outbound calls, do inbound calls, transferred to another department every 6 months, etc.

so katong mga wala ka experience ani, dli jud ka relate. diba?

k-trabaho man gyud ko sa call center last year ug 6 months. grabe ka-demanding ang work (tungod cguro kay wa ko maanad). grabe pud ang politicking, so ikaw nga you want to keep your work, mosipsip sad gyud ka. sometimes it's the only way to survive. murag PR-PR ba. honestly, it works wherever you are. m-government pa na or sa private. unya sakto gyud, mga flexible gyud kaayo kay you have to para ka ka-survive. it's the only job nga dali kaayo masudlan karon. and of course, dako baya pud ang pay compared sa ubang trabaho.

dont belittle the job that allows you to buy your needs every day. kanang uban pasalamat na gani nga maka-earn ug minimum pay a day or even less than minimum

being in a call center is a job alright... but not all call center gives you the security of tenure that most stable jobs offer you.

Per Se, I have been in a call center for 8 years also and I know for the fact that most call center jobs are co-terminus with the account you are in.. Well, if your lucky you can be transferred to other accounts... some gets floated or just asked to be resigned nalang.. (paets)

Between working on the likes of a company like San Miguel, PLDT or SHELL (bigwig companie), my dad worked his hard part off and got a retirement pay when he retired at age 65...

Question is... Would the call center give you the security of tenure, retirement pay when your about to go to that age
okay ra na if you are with management. how about the operators at Mepz. They are the counterparts on a BPO. They NEVER EVER had tenure of work. That is the reason I don't understand that they don't call working at a call center as a job. I worked in MEPZ before, but sad to say specially the agency workers, they can booted out anytime.

call center work is one of the hardest jobs jud oi. ang mo demean sa pagka call center agent, let them try it themselves and let's see if makaya nila. if I know, manghilak.
