Ulaw na kaayo sa ato part if pabalikon ang US airbase, after all kita ra pod baya ang nag pahawa nila.

It is a very sensitive issue if ever we will allow the US bases to return then it would be best to have a just compensation...i am not against to this idea however we need to go back to drawing board and identify the lapses made many years ago on that particular treaty...for instance the US bases before in total if the not the biggest might be the second outside of US territory but we were not compensated fairly because we only received in the form of USAID unlike in some other nation....The late US defense (Reagan's time) many years ago said and to qoute " We are there in RP not really to protect but to serve our own national interest " ..i also understand that we cannot dictate the terms but at least a just compensation is definitely better than before...& now might also be a good timing with the aggresive behaviour of china to dominate....just a thought

It is us who need them, not the other way around. I doubt the US would give a rats ass if China took our oil there, unless we promise them that their companies will be the ones who will get our oil in which case we still lose...

^ bro compensation comes in many form bothways & believed that the govt will act should the needs arise...in a way we need the americans and mind you they also need us for them to spread their military & economic power furthermore and for the fact that they are courting the entire aspac rim for affiliation proves that everybody needs somebody in this part of the world precisely because of its strategic location to curtail the rising ambition of china & its economic power..

yeah it is very sensitive issue of course but we should also to protect ourselves and our nation....I think we should create a treaty that is a win-win solution for both PHILIPPINES and U.S.A. i think we can do that......
