    nice comparison tests ts...

what ide like to see is oc temps of ivy @ 4.6-4.8ghz and 2600k @ 5-5.2ghz - kung puede lang ts?
I was able to do 4.6GHz, but haven't really tested it for stability (it takes a lot of time). As for 4.7 and up, it needs more than 1.4v... basically, beats the purpose of this review. But I'll see if I could do extreme tests soon.

Whats the temp with aircon off stock hsf idle and max?
Also where did you buy your ivy? I'm looking to upgrade soon.
Temps on stock cooler without aircon,
Good question. Sorry I wasn't able to take a screenshot on that. It went around 79-82. Which is still ok. Intel's limit is 105 deg C I think. So under 90C is still good.

As for "where i got the processor", give me a PM lang, I don't want to advertise here.

    Thanks!

    very informative.

i read somewhere if you replace the thermal paste, katong naa sa sulod jud sa processor,(*removing the metal cover thus voiding the warranty*). mu decrease ang temps both idle and 100% load

boss, if you decide to void the warranty if ever lang..pwd nimo ma test nga tang-tang ang iyang sinks nga naka pilit.then replace the thermal paste with the one you use sa pag review nimo..basin naa pay chance mo ubos2 pa sya. (pero risky lang kay void gyud ang warranty.) sa OC portion lang boss ah..kay i know ok ra kaau ang iyang temps pag dili OC.

pero sakto gyud ang g sulti sa mga foreign reviews ug sa atong local istoryan nga not advisable mag upgrade from SB to IB unless you want to shred some Pesos (kay nag awas2 na ang kwarta LOL)

@ sempron gay - the reason i brought up h2o cooling is because a lot of us here use it. i was merely saying that even with a full blown h2o cooling setup, temps will still be on the high side compared to sandy.

As for the oc, reviews have compared sandy @ 5.2ghz is equal to ivy @ 4.6-4.8ghz in performance. So i would like to know (and i'm sure a lot here would too) what voltages ivy would oc to and at what temps. Some of us oc our systems a lot higher (for whatever reason) than what was posted by the ts.

I have read this thread from the very 1st post so no need to re read it - no mention of higher oc clock other than the 4.5ghz posted.

curious minds want to know, if it does not interest you then thats fine.
