Help - Lens inquiry/suggestions

Hi Guys,

Ask lang ko if worth ni sya na plano nko.

Im planning to sell my Canon 50mm / f1.8 and Kitlens to buy a new lens.

Either Tamron 17-50mm / f2.8 or Sigma 17-70mm / f.28.

For portrait/landscape/all around lens pra dli mag change2x lens..

Worth kha ni sya?

I had the chance to use both lenses on a Nikon system. For me, mas niprefer ko sa Tamron 17-50 for the simple reason that it is a fixed 2.8 lens. IQ-wise, the shots taken with the tammy were crisper even in low-light conditions (samot kung well-lighted, sharp kaayo even at 2.8 ). So far wala ko nabitin sa focal length niya kay before getting the tammy I have been a constant 50mm user so anad na ko, except pag Sinulog where bitin jud iyang range kay daghang samok sa atubangan, haha.

Why not keep the 50mm 1.8 na lang? You can still use it if you plan doing macro shots or for portraits if you need sharper images...

Sigma 17-50 f2.8 EX DC OS is my choice @ 28-29k in cebu, fast af almost similar to canon as the review results.downside luag daw iyang pakapin na lens hood some batch matagak gyud matandog lang gamay.hehe

Canon EF-S 17-55 f2.8 IS is the best but the price is not worthy.add more bucks and you get the 24-70 2.8

Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di II LD IF Lens best price best performance i have been using it.price is 16k in cebu, downside is saba but ok ra para nako...

^ ^ bitaw mao man na suggestion sa tanan. i will keep my 50mm, yah bokeh2x and macro2x... cge2x sir.. i will let you know lang then try ko sa lens mo.. hehe thanks2x
