Help on Video Card Compatibility

Hello Guys,

Kindly Share your ideas if u know what the real problem with regards to my Mobo? Vcard?

I Have a shuttle MV42N mobo(socket 47 w/ 4x AGP slot(ver2.0) it perfectly works fine with 64MB AGP (gforce mx4000) video card, but now i tried to upgrade my video card to ASUS 9200SE (w/c 8x AGP DDR) i think, given by a warm hearted friend :mrgreen:.

When i installed evrything...including the Video Driver, and when my PC boot ups.. i the control panel... display setting i can see (128MB) Video memory... but when i run bench marking tool (SSandra) it says that my "vga is incompatble", even software games, detect my video card as "1mb" only.. so i cannot play games at all

so, guy do any idea bout this?

The Video card will do any harm to my PC? like mobo?

It previously belonged to me. It worked perfectly well w/ my ASUS P4S800-MX mobo

naa may difference inyo mobo gud bro. iyaha kang ButtHeads kay  shuttle MV42N with AGP4X and imoha kay ASUS P4S800-MX with AGP8X. Compatibility issue man ni siya. Sometimes ang AGP8X nga video card  mo work perfectly na sa AGP4X nga mobo pero sometimes dili. Naa man na sila diff. sa voltage gud. Mas ubos ang voltage requirement sa AGP 3.0 kaysa AGP 2.0. Sa ako tan-aw depende sa mobo na siya. Kung Asus siguro na imo mobo ok ra cguro bsan 4X ra iya AGP.

bro try to check your users manual -on you motherboard requirements-for compatibility issues.whether it can support this kind of vcard..or check your boards manual

ur vedio card uncomptaible with ur motherboard...better change... lots of complain i experience.
