oDesk, patience lng jud. I know lisud kaau pag patience if wala kai work mao nang mawagtangan ug pag-asa. Not in my case, naa koy work but ni try ko ug oDesk para maka portfolio ko. Dili lng hinuon ko fixed hour rate, but by project. bayaran rako if mahuman ang work.

i signed up for odesk 2 years ago pero wla gyud q ka-pursue kay i was currently working night shifts at that time. curious lang q pla pud inyo gi-post na starting rate ninyo? mao pud 2 ako gikalibgan sauna--ng-overprice ba kha ko or ng under-price.

akong tips sa mga newbies sa oDesk (basing on my personal experiences as a newbie pud):

> take a lot of tests & try to get high scores para ma top 10%, 20% or 30%. attractive ni sa mga clients especially kung wala pa kay feedback ug star rating ug portfolio. also, the more tests you take & pass, the higher your application quota becomes.

> start applying if you think nindot na tan-awon imong profile. in my case, i encouraged the prospective client to look at my profile and test results for proof of my qualifications.

> ayaw gyud ka discouraged kung ma declined imong applications. apply lang gyud pirmi. nakabasa ko somewhere nga many successful odesk contractors got their first job after more than 20 rejections.

> in my case, i got my first job (transcription) after getting declined 8 times. since i opened my account last april 8, i've had 3 contracts already, puro fixed rate. so kugi lang gyud mo ug pang apply.

> once ma hired na mo, tarunga gyud inyong trabaho aron ma impressed inyong client unya taga-an mo ug nindot nga feedback. ayaw ka ulaw ug pangayo ug feedback kay ang uban clients makalimot tungod sa ka busy.

Odesk really change my life.. tambag lng nko is to make it a hobby first or lingaw lingaw lng pang sideline pero if you get more clients and got more projects then you can decide if you will go fulltime and resign from your current job.

Unsa advise nimo sa gusto mag fulltime pareha nako? lisud ba ang naa hourly nga contract? just like me I only have so far mga fixed rates. Unsay mas maka kwarta ka? fixed or hourly?

Naa ko kaila ani bai ka receive xa ug call center client from odesk unya gi papalit jud xa automatic dialer. Heheh. Karon, big time na kay nasuki man nia unya daghan na xa gipangemploy ron nga uban tao. Nakatukod siag call center na nuun. hehe.

you're right walay libre sa odesk. madaot ang client if dili sila mobayad sa contractor...

right now, odesk ang akong source of income. mas dako akong kita sa odesk kesa sa akong regular job.
