@cc: I have a friend in Maryland nga teacher this year lang sila naabot with a couple of other Filipino teachers. Either $6k man cguro to ila fee all in all... she said she's making $30k+ annually daw pero 1 year ra ila contract after that uli na sa pinas... kung i-rehire sila sa school nga ila gi trabahoan kuhaon sila balik if not that's it na. Kalimot ko unsa nga year level iya gi teach pero at first luoy intawn kaayo na shock sa mga taras sa mga kids in public schools here as in labaddddd kuno iya ulo sa kassssiawwww teheh. But still, not bad di ba makasave up money bisan 1 year lang, I think some of them i-rehire man and ma sponsoran.

hmm i'm not sure about that... naa puy gaingon naku diri pud Rockville, MD by batch pud mangabot mga taga Cebu mga programmers pero I'm not sure kung sige pa ba sila hire. Although, when it comes to computer fields dili kaayo ingon ana siguro kadaku ang demand kay okay raman ang supply within US but am not sure about the figures.

Kana imo wifey kay teacher mura'g okay ang demand for teachers... daku lang kaayo ang fee liman ka ana P300,000 up mura kang palit ug awto teheh pero kung siguradong makaari payts kaayo. Kato ako friend, gi house man sila apartment then share sila sa rent... they also pay carpool to go to work kay layo man ya work sa ya gipuy-an. Karon nibalhin na sya ug duol² sa ya school ga rent sya room from a filipino family so magbus nalang sya padung work.

Agree ko ni Ngel, we hope you all can come to work abroad and you'll see the difference then kay ma compare na man nimo ang life here vs. there. $30 K a year starting is not bad at all pero gamay ra gihapon na kung California standard coz taas kaayo ang cost of living dire compared to other States pero allthough taas, the food is definitely cheaper sab compared to other States then at least ma compensate kay there is a once a year cost of living increase. Every year na. So when the cost of living goes up, your salary goes up too then you get it all back when it comes to income tax filing man sab. The government gives you back all your monies in the form of a refund. That is you do not make a lot of money sometimes kaning mga Nurses althoug daku ang mga sweldu dire and all the overtimes they make, daku sab ilang tax bayrunon. But if you fall within just the standard median income you get all your money back from the government and that is every filing season, every year. The govenment will never withhold from you more than what their guideline allows in fact, bisan unsa na lang e claim sa mga tao para motaas ilang refund but within the allowable range they can do that too. So you do get the nice breaks

hi Archer, yeah you're lucky in fact, you can just decide to stay there and come here to US for a visit then you have the best of both worlds! Lucky you!
