associate degree vs bachelor's degree

I am a board passer in nursing and I have just recently realized that what i would like to be doing is programming...I want to know what are the pros and cons for an associate degree in IT for i really do not want to waste any more time as it is now...any advise from the people that went through the whole course of a degree in IT?

for me, advantage man ang bachelors degree kay sa BS kasagaran naa diha ang systems analysis and design..

You better pursue BS degree bro 'coz most major companies like Lexmark, NCR, IBM, NEC and the likes requires a BS degree holder. BUT, if you want to settle for home-based/project-based jobs, Associate degree is okay. those jobs also has a nice pay especially if you're really good at it.

What really matters is wherever you work, you should be at its best!

bachelor lang bro. kay mao man gd na ang qualification inig trabaho nimo. must be a bachelors degree holder.
naa japon kay makita na trabaho sa associate pero maglisod lang jd ka og pangita. ang pinaka lisod baya sa pag pangita og trabaho kanang wala pa kay experience. daghan sd ka makat.onan kung bachelors degree ka bro.

and one more thing, paningkamote nga maka sabot jd ka og c, c++ and java kay mao ni sila ang mga backbone sa programming

BS degree jud bitaw ang gi require sa mga Software companies. Mas okey jud ug BS degree ang kuhaOn ky daghan pka ug makat-Onan wen it comes to IT like networking, deep understanding in DB design, ug daghan pang programming languages, so if u go programming, makapili kag language na comfortable ka...

If you have the money go for the BS degree if wala settle for an associate degree first then decide later if you want to get the BS degree.
