Unsa kaha mas trend krn mga bro?

Web-Programming like PHP+mysql+javascript+css Or

Software Development like Java, VB6/VB.net, C# or C++
... unsa pud kahai mas maaU i-specialize nga language if ever i go Software Dev?

plan ko apply unta pero ga review pa koh ug gamai.. hehehe

Depende sa imong gusto, since naa man jud magkinahanglan sa both. so depende na nimo asa imong gustong pilion. subjective kaayo ang imong question and you would really have a lot of different answers since depende na man na sa preferences sa usa ka tao. it would all come down to what you decide for yourself.

honestly i really like Software Development.. pero lisud lang i-sulod ug company if wala pa experience like me..

not like web ky daghan ko nakit-an nga dawat rag fresh grads...
.. so ga practice nlng kog Web-programming instead. hehehe

It's just like IT and CS. Before there was only CS but the IT was soon as recognized as different from a CS. Maybe sooner there would come a time where IM would also be different from an IT. Anyway, it's just terms describe what we like to do. The more we like it the more we emphasize on it's name.

The trend nowadays is on web development and then going to mobile apps development.

Specialization? I would suggest go for Java because it has both capabilities in software and web development plus mobile. I had experienced all those languages like you've mentioned but Java is the most robust and secured.

In software development with Java, you can hard code the components and while in web, you have the options to use JSP or servlets but best if you combine both in MVC architecture. Or much better doing it with STRUTS, JSF, SPRING, EJB and other JEE.

yah.. nindot btaw jud java.. pero para mausa ako mind sa pag review for now, i'll go for Web-Programming lang usa...
anyways, malingaw rman pud koh bsag asa ko sa duha! ang ako lng nga mkaWork koh!

maybe in the future, or if i like to cross the line, Ill go for Software Dev if naa nko experience sumday!

just a piece of advise...

you cannot call yourself a true programmer or a software engineer if you can only focus on one language or technology..
a true programmer or an engineer does not care about the semantics but focus on the most effective and applicable approach to a problem.

example: you just canot develop a multiplayer 3d game using PHP or a commercial website with C++ easily (take note with the word "easily" -- you can develop web app using C++ or any language, eg for this is using ISAPI extensions).

Sakto to ang mga advise sa mga taw, if unsa imo feel na nahan nmo, adto ka didto.. ako since college kay game development man ako gusto more on windows and graphics programming, but if tagaan ko project na web sa company, dli ko mo dli..
