hello bro! i need a brief explanation about a ddr and a ddr2 memory how it runs, and unsa mas preferable nga memory?? tnx just leave a reply!

if you talk about performance, the difference between the two is not that significant..
tddr2 is no doubt faster than DDR. Your choice should depend entirely on what processor or motherboard you currently have. if you're still planning on buying one, then going for DDR2 is a no brainer.Originally Posted by krisnk

DDR
# of pins: 184
effective clocks: 200, 266, 400 MHz
DDR-2
# of pins: 240
effective clocks: 400, 533, 667, 800
obviously, they are not interchangeable
DDR2 has longer latency than DDR which reduces performance, so some might say that they perform the same. higher clock speed compensates the long lantencies..
go for DDR2
mag-agad ra gyud na sa imong system bro... kung ddr ang slot sa imong mobo, then ddr ra gyud imong mataod. kung ddr2 sad ang slot, then ddr2 ra sad gyud imo motaod... wala man kay choice actually.
Incorrect, it all depends if you compare the fastest DDR1 vs the fastest DDR2.Originally Posted by KennRuss
And on what software/Benchmark your testing with.
