    Default radiator drains fast

    Hi,

    Unsay reason ma drain dayon ang radiator water? Ang overflow bottle kay na empty pud. I checked the hose, no leaks. Radiator head gasket cover seems to be ok, wala mo gawas na tubig when closed. Ang temperature kay naa sa middle, wla sad ko ka notice ni lapas sa miiddle.

    By the way, maka dungog pud ko ug tick sound usahay but murag sa aircon man.

    Thanks.

    Most likely naa gyud na leaking nga gamay nga mo trigger lang at high pressure na ug derecho evaporate ang water, di na makabasa pa sa palibot. Double check kung naay mga lama sa dried coolant. Kung wala gyud kay makita leaking, just add clean rainwater or distilled water aron mapuno na pud, do not cover it yet, let it idle to operating temperature then add water until di na mo lower down ang level. Careful lang nga di ka mapaso.

    No white smoke sa exhaust? kung naa, it could be water leaking into the cylinders.

    No leaks on the radiator? does it still empty itself when parked overnight?

    Did you try "pressure testing" the radiator? Fill the radiator with water, block all the water inlet/outlets. Blow into the radiator with mouth creating pressure... you will see leaks that are otherwise "not there".

    @norisee:

    Wla ko na notice. Although mga 2 minutes ra to nag andar ang engine, with a/c on, ako gi tan-aw ang exhaust, wala man sad.

    Dli sya mo empty itself when parked overnight. I tried that the other day. nag refill ko, with coolant and distilled water. Ako pud gi butangan ug distilled water ang overflow bottle.

    I haven't tried "pressure testing". Wala pa sad ko ka sulay ug unsaon na. Will try that. Tan-aw lng ko Youtube vids for tutorial.

    Dli man ni kuyaw noh as long as dli ma empty ang water sa radiator while ga dagan? Twice nga I have to refill about 2 glasses of water para ma full kay I noticed walay tubig sa top sa radiator. Usually, maka kita man ko ug tubig.

    Thanks.

    kasuway ko ana sir. ako gi check radiator cap wala leak, sa radiator cover kana mga liki2x wala sad, wala mga leak. water pump ok. dili mo aso etc.. dili mo overheat. pero dali lang jd mo drain..
    nahibung ko nganu mo drain siya... di sad siya mo drain overnight if off ang engine.
    ang problem kay ang hose diay. naa buslot gamay kaayo didto mo kusug ang leak if kusug sad ang rpm. ang gi buhat gi gunting or gi putol to ang hose nga naa buslot then gi taod rapud balik ang hose kay ok paman.

    pag check nako kay ako ra gipa andar nag park. kay if dili i-rev ang engine wala man mag leak. mao to ako gipa rev ug lain then ako gi check ang ilawm if naa mag leak. then found out naa jud leak. na gikan sa hose.
    higher rpm/rev = kusug ang leak
