which is better? LCD (LED) or Plasma?

mura sir. the higher the resolution the better? Di kaayo ko familiar sa mga HDTV sir? Sa monitor kahibalo ko... i have the Samsung PX2370 series 7 which is verrrrrrrrrrrrrry gooooooooood for PC monitor. But HDTV mura kinahanglan ko mag research. heheheehhe

Sa movies ra nindot ang plasma but may lose out some details if imong source 1920x1080 because that plasma screen is only 1024x768, refresh rates nila wont really matter as those 600Hz screens are usually interpolation.. Ilang real screen refresh is only 60Hhz ( and some 120Hz ) but if you like the "soap opera" effect then the 120Hz from LED-TV's should be enough.

Go for LED, Though both are electricity hogs (you better check your electricity bill at the end of the month), when you have these. Though Plasma is on all time high a hog on power consumption.

Also, with Plasma, you have to set the ambient environment where you want to put this as this tend to depend on the varying lightings of the room. That is why Plasma is good on a dark contrasted room as opposed to LED (which you can place anywhere in your house without worrying a loss on its PQ (picture quality).

and one more thing, do get a decent AC (Airconditioner) as heat factors are considerable on both devices. It's best suited to a well ventilated AC rooms.

why is it that LED produces shadows when you use it on playing PS3/Xbox games? Does this problem doesn't solve from LED manufacturer?
