sakto na bai, bsag hobbist dapat ee justify gyud nimo imo price for your gears wear-and-tear, image quality labor/skill and time. Most specially dili ka part sa problem sa industry but your partly promoting pa the right pricing. di pareha anang uban hala shoot og gig nya sugot ra pa ilad sa organizers sa event nga pangayun ang pics.

Sa uban it's their means of income so I would partly understand why daghan mo-dive sa presyo. Newbies/startup lowballing on the lowest price for their services ky desperado na to be tag as a pro asap!

yeah its ok to make your rate cheaper but justifiable. some are pricing for 5k with prints pa. With that kind of a price its condsider as free na. your also destroying the industry.

very informative kaayo kani nga article mga master! I myself don't really shoot as a professional photog since i have a job in a different industry but i do understand that when one prices themselves so low and offer services that are unrealistic na for the price kay ma-affected jud ang mga sakto ang price. para lng nako most of those who price themselves so low are the ones who don't account for the capital investment (camera and equipment), transpo, communication expenses, advertising expenses, rent (if nag rent og studio), salaries sa assistants, depreciation and other important stuff. Honestly naa ko pro-bono wedding shoot with my friends krn june but we made it clear na dili mi professionals and that we are doing this kay friends namo sila. If they want a professional quality service we suggested some photographers (most are istoryans. hehehehe.) and told them you will really get what you pay for. But if they do opt not to hire a professional photog we told them we are offering our services but we are not for hire. Going professional is a very big decision and there is a lot of commitment, investment, thought processing, skill development involved and I don't wonder why they ask for the prices they offer kay quality man sad jud. I salute the professional photographers who care for the craft as well as the industry for without them walay development sa photography as an art form and business.

and lastly....... DOING PHOTOSHOOTS, WEDDING GIGS, CONCERT COVERAGES DOESN'T make you a PROFESSIONAL.

A professional is someone who is paid to undertake a specialised set of tasks and to complete them for a fee. An EXPERT and has specialized knowledge in the field which one is practicing. Has EXCELLENT manual/practical and literary skills in relation to profession.

ok raman gyud mag probono but expect a relax type of photographer or artist if ingana, like my wordpress website is still on the making, to be exact 1yr in the making cuz Xdeal ra ako agreement sa ako web designer friend from bulacan, (y in bulacan, because he is one of the best webdesigner/developer in the country) but i told him since this is an xdeal and the xdeal offer is not even worth 40k, i gave him time to make it, for short kung feel lang nimo basta by December mana.

Paying professional fee is very different mode in working spcially if sakto na pro fee,

That is why we need a UNION to have an standardization of pricing, business ethics, discipline and Order!

nindot nah nga idea we can start sa mga known nga photogs or people nag tauod2x na pud nga pro and semi pro pips, diri if they are willing to say pila ilang package para ma standard nato

maybe maka make ta ug organization of professional photographers something like wppi
then kanang naa tai rango2x daw like "certified professional" or "semi-pro" level.

then like example naa man gud ta slideshow2x sa wedding for example pwede ta pa kita ug badge2x or symbol na mo reflect sa rango para at least ang mga tao or potential client mag duha2x ug kuha kanang naa sa kilid2x
