PS3 Bluray Drive not working

hi guys my ps3 bluray drive is not working no power at all but i can still use my ps3 by using the downloaded games but i cant use the bluray drive anymore. i went to itech and sony they said they can't fix it because the board needs to be replaced unfortunately there's no available board. but one of the circuit city's tech said someone who knows how to fix the board can make it work but no assurance. if someone has any idea about it please let me know thank you
