if we are going to live the life people like TS expects, then we will be living the same lives as that of 1800 years ago (before this century)..
that is The church (and i mean any church not only roman catholic) control the lives, control the power, even control the Kings and emperors and the entire world. In previous centuries, the Pope is powerfull, the church is powerfull, GOD can be used as an excuse by people to invade, kill, burn, and even raped other people. Just use the Spanish era of 300 years in the our country as a guide.

My point is, people had lived the life of an religious obedient person, and what does it done to civilization? it brings wars, deaths, fears, ignorance, hokus pokus and even division from the church (imagine how many Christian religion are there now?).

People learned from those mistakes, and on this century, things like planes, pcs, mobile devices, cars, etc were products from not from being breaking the norm, instead of just staying at home or in one place praying or reading the bible.

Controls the lives of people? We are all controlled either by God or Evil. There is no in between.

So we cant live without TV and computers? Well technology can be used for good and evil. Its up to you if you watch too many violent movies, and brainless noon time shows and mind numbing music. I can say its even better not to watch TV with all these nonsense channels.
